Longboards Hawaiian Bar and Grill Circa 2008 -2011
From about 2008-2011, this was the original website when the restaurant, now known as Longboards Lounge was called Longboards Hawaiian Bar and Grill. Now the old site didn't look exactly like this site, just like the new website for Longboards Hawaiian Bar and Grill has a totally different design from the original.
Content is from the site's archived pages.
If you had enjoyed meals at the "old" Longboards Hawaiian Bar and Grill and are worried that it might have changed significantly, you can rest easy. On my last visit to the city, I dined at the Longboards Portsmouth location, which remains at its familiar spot: 440 High Street / Portsmouth, VA 23704. My trip was primarily to check on my elderly grandparents. During my stay, I also had to assist with some online troubleshooting, as there were concerns about our family website potentially suffering from a Google penalty due to poor SEO practices implemented by the inexperienced team hired by our webmaster. It seems they employed some questionable tactics that might have violated Google's guidelines, putting our online visibility at risk. We need to address this issue promptly and ensure we're following best practices to avoid any further penalties or ranking drops. This experience highlighted the importance of choosing skilled professionals for digital maintenance and optimization. By the end of my visit, these issues were being addressed, ensuring that the website's rankings would be restored. Meanwhile, I can confirm that Longboards Lounge continues to uphold the high standards set by its predecessor, Longboards Hawaiian Bar and Grill.
~~~
Recently I discovered that the domain for LongboardsSeafoodCompany.com was available so I bought it with the goal of recreating some of its content from archived pages and to point visitors to Longboards' new site: www.longboardslounge.com/. I definitely didn't want someone else purchasing the domain and re-purposing the site for something that had nothing in common with the original website.
Since this site will not be exactly as you remember it, please be indulgent and use this visit as a reminder why you want to go Longboards Lounge for one of their tropical drinks, or a glass of wine or beer from their extensive collection to go along with a burger or something more exotic.
WELCOME
"Large portion sizes and very reasonable prices are a big draw. Cool decor of surf gear. Service was very slow as far as getting our food, but we were chilling out on the patio and not in a huge rush.
" I love the Kahlua pork on the appetizer menu; a full meal really---flavorful meat served on a bed of rice with macaroni salad and crisp, fresh dinner salad---what a bargain at $5.95! I could sit on the patio drinking Longboard draft all evening, watching the foot traffic go by for hours. The serving staff is young, friendly and efficient. Love this place! "
